    2. Sorry it has taken so long to reply to this. Matthias O'Brien was a coastguard at Helvick Head, as well as Lawrence Cove, Bunberg and St Helier, Jersey. We hoped we would find him on the 1911 census England census when he was in Jersey but have not had any success. We believe he was born at Monitrea (which is on the Waterford side of the river opposite Youghal. Would be very interested if you find a Catherine Guiry/Geary in your research Patrick -----Original Message----- From: johnvgeary@cs.com To: waterford@rootsweb.com CC: patrickmoss1@aol.com Sent: Thu, 17 Dec 2009 1:48 Subject: Re: [WATERFORD] Roll Call: O'Brien/Kennedy/(Geary/Guiry/Shea PatrickThere was a Coast Guard station in the Ardmore/Dysert area. It is in ruins now. There were two Guiry/Geary families in the area; John Guiry and Thomas Guiry. At this point, I don't know of a Catherine in the Thomas Guiry family (my g-g-g-grandfather); but I am having the Waterford Heritage Center research John Guiry, who I think is Thomas Guiry's brother.John Geary (Guiry) -----Original Message-----From: patrickmoss1@aol.comTo: waterford@rootsweb.comSent: Wed, Dec 16, 2009 9:23 amSubject: [WATERFORD] Roll Call: O'Brien/Kennedy/(Geary/Guiry/SheaResearching Matthias O'Brien born 1870 clashmore area son of Thoams O'Brien and Catherine Guiry (No marriage found). 3. John & Patrick, I, too, am very interested in your research and the relationship with the Guiry, Anthony and Gardiner familes in Waterford and their connections with the RN and the lighthouses. These families are entwined and I need more clues on my Gardner line. Please keep me in the loop.
