    3. March 17th 1826 recorded in the Wexford Evening Post WATERFORD ASSIZES Monday March 13th City Court Before the Hon. Justice Moore, and the following Grand Jury:- James Wallace Esq., Foreman, Henry H Hunt, Thos Carew, Wm. Millward, Henry Alcock, Sam Newport, William Hobbs, William M. Ardagh, Simon Newport, Thomas Wyse, John Leonard, William Aylward, Thomas Scott, John Archbold, Richard Fogarty, James Knight, Thomas Meagher Jun., Joseph D Lapham, J W Kettlewells Esqrs. His Lordship charged the Jury rather briefly. He congratulated the city and commended the Magistracy for the lightness of the Calender. James Blake-for stealing a pig. Guilty Edward Lee, William Walsh, and James Carty were indicted for stealing tapes, the property of John Croker. Guilty Nicholas Howlett for stealing six ten pennies, from Margaret Mack. Not Guilty. Richard Keating for stealing a bonnet and a silk handkerchief the property of Patrick Delany Guilty Thomas Magrath for receiving two saddles and a bridle stolen from Sir John Newport; and a saddle and bridle stolen from H. H. Hunt Esq. Guilty Catherine Forrestal for stealing a half crown, a shilling in silver and twenty pieces in copper &c. from Thomas Fogarty Esq: Guilty But at the recommendation of Mr. Fogarty, and on account of her having been four months in confinement, the judge said that she would be discharged, and at the same time gave her a lecture, lest she commit a like offence again Alice Walsh for stealing a pair of shoes, two aprons, and a gown from Mary Hanrahan. Guilty
