He was the only surviving son of Thomas Hamilton of Olivestob near Endinburgh COrk Hibernian Chronicle Mon 12th Feb 1770 and as the name appears in the below 1821 census one would have to believe that such an unusual name must have been handed on So was John the son of Otho and Otho would be Otho Snr's. Shucks! With all the pre-Christmas prep I was carefully selecting only the most URGENT emails to read -- and saving the others for later -- like now. Patrick There was a Coast Guard station in the Ardmore/Dysert area. It is in ruins now. There were two Guiry/Geary families in the area; John Guiry and Thomas Guiry. At this point, I don't know of a Catherine in the Thomas Guiry family (my g-g-g-grandfather); but I am having the Waterford Heritage Center research John Guiry, who I think is Thomas Guiry's brother.
