That is great Maureen. I am so happy to hear it!. We hope to do some more Royal Irish Constabulary and maybe some Land records. And we are a sharing site, so we encourage people to share their Civil Registration certs, obits. You name it. Thanks again! Thank you, thank you, thank you Christina. You devote so much time to help us list members. I have family originating in the southern part of Co kilkenny and across the border into Co Waterford. With the info update and update of the website, I found another clue in the research on my Gaule famiy. Maureen N I have just finished (hopefully) giving the IGP Waterford website a face lift. I have made it so you can visit and search both the IGP Waterford site and the IGP Archives files. These are sister projects, so they go together. :) You can search both sites from the Main Waterford page. The search engine on the "inner" pages are Google created and go out on the web. I have slimmed down the website, moving some files to the archives since we are adding most data for Waterford to the archives. The menu on the right side starts with the local files and then has direct links below to the IGP Archives files for Waterford.

Hi, We would like to make more Church Photos available for County Waterford. If you have one to share, please submit a copy. You can use our submission forms. http://www.genrecords.org/irfiles/photos.html It is great when people can find a photo of the church their ancestors attending, married at etc. Photos of Waterford ancestors are welcome too. As long as they were actually born in Waterford. Thanks, Christina http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/

I wouild like to make a general plot of the various townlands where all of my Scanlon/Scanlan ancestors lived at the time of Griffiths Valuation. If you look at this County Kerry link for the civil parish of Castleisland, you'll see the kind of rough map that I am seeking: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/cisland1.html Are there maps like that available for Waterford; particularly in the west near Lismore and Ballyduff Upper. I don't need the detail provided by those "live" Ordinance Survey of Ireland maps. Thanks for your help. Ray Marshall Minneapolis
I have a Jeremiah COLEMAN born c1826 in Waterford. Jeremiah COLEMAN died in Glenmaggie, Victoria, Australia on Feb 15th 1908. His certificate states he was 82 years old, unmarried, had been in Victoria 38 years and his parents were Jeremiah COLEMAN and ?? WALSH. His will states that he was a cousin to these three brothers who all came to Victoria, Australia but were all born in Lismore, Waterford, Ireland - Patrick COLEMAN b c1847, John Joseph COLEMAN b c1850 & Michael COLEMAN b c1851. The parents of these brothers were Michael COLEMAN & Mary AHEARN. In your search for YOUR Jeremiah you may (hopefully) come across mine!!! Heather Coleman
Thanks for that Gloria. Hi All, a couple of months ago rootsweb had a problem with AOL and many people got unsubbed as AOL was bouncing back messages. Two weeks ago Rootsweb had the same kind of problem with ATT & Comcast. In order to prevent people using those addys from also getting unsubbed, I put those people only on "no Mail" until today so that you would be protected. You have missed just a few messages which you can see in the archives here: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/index?list=waterford Sorry for the inconveniece but it was better than getting unsubbed. Janet

Hello list, Can anyone help me with any information about James FLYNN who lived in Waterford (town/village unknown) possibly married to Margaret and with at least one son named William born circa 1849 in Waterford. William became a "mariner" and eventually ended up in Australia where he married another Irish immigrant Jane McMahon daughter of John and Mary McMahon of Co Cavan I know this is all so vague but it is all we know at present. I would be most grateful for any leads or tips. Thank you Rob FLYNN
Dear Bob, Whilst I can supply headstone data on the Flavin/Flaven family in Waterford I am wondering if this would be of any use to you, it would in fact only prove that the name was in Waterford unless you knew of some family names that intermarried into this family as some of these stones I have been transcribing and photographing have other names on them as well. But if you want the data I have on said name you may ask me, I dont bite, well not this week anyway.
