    3. Hello Helen I was having problems with the Death Registers Site last week and I wrote to them. I received a reply one day last week to say they were having problems with it and were looking into the problem and were hoping to have it fixed in the next few days. Pat

    3. Hi Helen Willie Whelan from Waterford County Museum here. My day job is with Deise Design a web company. We have done work with the library in the past and I am familiar with their system. The different parts of the library site all sit on different architectures / servers so it is possible to have an outage of a section of the site. I will draw it to the attention of Ger Croughan who is in charge of Dungarvan Library. 3. The Mass. Archives URL is <http://www.state.ma.us/sec/arc/arcidx.htm>. The Archives are open to the public free of charge. The only fees are for copies, etc. Genealogical Society of Utah (GSU) has been digitizing the Archive's records for a number of years. That makes the search easier, but if you're ever in the Boston area, the trip is worthwhile. Dave Collins > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    3. Randy, Most, if not all, of the MA records are now on the FHC site and gives a little more info than the Archives. The MA Archives site, is only an index to the records. I believe you have to belong to a genealogical society, or have someone who does belong to it to do a lookup of the actual record for you, or contact the MA Archives to obtain the records for a fee. EX: Go to MA Archives site and put in Florence E. Morse New Bedford http://www.sec.state.ma.us/vitalrecordssearch/VitalRecordsSearch.aspx and you will get the 2, one being the following: Morse, Florence E. New Bedford 1908 Page 574 No. 347 Birth If you go to the FHC site: https://www.familysearch.org/ and put in same info You will get her name, actual date of birth, and her parents names. While it is not the complete record either, it does give you a bit more info. Elaine
