Looking for information on a lost great uncle, he was born in IN in 1867/69 as Dempsey Bosaw but changed his name (legally) to John/Jack DEMPSEY (his twin sisters bible says birth 1867, obits say 1869). I do not know where the name change occurred, it could have been in Spokane. A distant relative to his wife, Bertha ZEISS, went through the Spokane directorys for me, a John Dempsey first appears in 1908 working as a clerk in the A.D.Mars Co, also listed as clerk in 1909. in 1910 a John Dempsey was working as a bartender, I am guessing this was him in 1910 as he was listed as propr. of The American Bar from 1911 to 1915. His wife was Bertha ZEISS born 1883 in St.Louis, MO and she died at the age of 28 in Spokane, I do have her obit and death certificate, she was listed in obit as Bertha Z Dempsey. Obit said she had a sister in Spokane and there was a Kathryn Zeiss listed in 1911 directory with same residence as Jack Dempsey (looks like boarding house). Any help in learning more about this great uncle would be great appreciated. Karen in CA
