For those who need to know what newspapers were in circulation for the greater Spokane area for library lookups they were: Spokane Daily Chronicle - abt 1800 to July 1992. Spokesman Review - 1881 - current Spokane Press - 1904 - 1939
The Chronicle did not start in 1800, there was no one here to read it before Lewis and Clark even came to the Northwest. I think the earliest the Library has for the Chronicle is about 1880 or 1881.
