OFFICER SLAIN IN 1886 GETS HIS DUE The Spokesman-Review Saturday, Sep 14, 2002 Spokane police officer Ephriam Jackson Hubbard was slain in 1886 (caption under photo of Ephriam) Charles & Margaret Hubbard were Ephriam's parents who had eight children who came west in 1847 and settled in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Ephriam Jackson Hubbard b. abt 1850 m. Ann Boothe in 1872 they had three daughters In Sept 1886 Ephriam went in hunt of Thomas Paine from MO who was wanted for murder.
