Looking for Info on Anna Kloke, 1893-1900. Anna arrived in New York on the SS Ems in Aug 1893. The manifest says her destination was Tacoma. She went immediately by train to Washington. She came as a Catholic Missionary from Germany and assisted nuns and priests in many locations. Although Tacoma was her initial destination, she mentioned to me Snohomish, Seattle, Walla Walla, Portland, Spokane and other places.iii So far I've not found any record of her in Washington. She next appears in Chicago in the 1900 census. I know she was in Washington because she received a nugget from a returning Klondike miner and she also told me about the pairie dogs stopping the train. Only someone who witnessed that could believe that a pack of prairie dogs could stop a train. You'll probably find her in German Catholic parishes. I'd appreciate any information I can get. Bob Brooks
