Hello I am working on a scrapbook for a friend who was born in Spokane while his father was stationed in the Air Force. What I need some help with is I would like to find a photo of the Air Force base and also what newspapers would have been in print in 1956. I would like to get the headline pages and maybe some background on what was happening in Spokane the day he was born. I would appreciate any leads you may be able to provide. Thank you so much
Hello, Newspapers were and are the Spokesman Review and the Spokane Daily Chronicle. You might try writing to the: Public Affairs Office Fairchild Air Force Base Spokane, WA Hope this helps! Dale T.
