By 1904, it was the Rockford Register. I remember when the Rockford Register and the Fairfield Standard were combined to then become the Standard-Register. I don't remember the year, but would have been long after the early 1900's dates you are searching for. I remember it being a sad day when the Editor/Publisher moved his printing press from Rockford to Fairfield, as it was always fun on the day the paper was being printed to stop on our walk home from school, and watch the old machinery putting out the paper. Although, I do remember, in later years, the paper publishing excerpts from time to time from "50 or 25" ? years ago. I would also suggest EWU at Cheney, WA as being a good place to search.
