This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Whipple, Sheldon, Cramer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3BC.2ACE/1983 Message Board Post: One of Deacon James Whipple's sons was my GGUncle Samuel Rodney Whipple. He was born in Springfield, New York in 1823. In 1834, most of the Whipple family migrated across the state to Chautauqua County, New York. In 1852, Samuel migrated across the the states and frontier territories to Vancouver, Washington. He was a prominent citizen of Clark County and was elected to Territorial Legislature in 1856. Some of his descendants are living in the Spokane area. I am trying to contact a descendant of Samuel to exchange information. For example there is an annual Whipple reunion held in Fredonia, New York that is open to all of Deacon Whipple's descendants. If there is any of Samuel's family out in Eastern Washington, then I would like to hear from you. Regards from New York State, Kenneth L. Vogt
I went to school for years with 2 Whipple boys in Creston, WA. They lived in Lincoln, and were sons of Howard and Jeannie Whipple. Paul would be about 56 now, and Mike was killed in an accident years ago. Lincoln is about 65 miles NW of Spokane. We had a lot of people move to Lincoln from Spokane to work in the sawmill.
