With the death this week of one of the few remaining elder uncles, we still do not have much definitive information on our family history. Specifically, we are trying to locate when James and Florene Davis were married. Florene's maiden name was "Hurst" and we have some sketchy information that she came from the south/eastern United States where her family, "Hurst" owned a plantation. We know they were married in Spokane, but do not have any specific dates. The time period may have been somewehere before 1900 (1880's and forward) or sometime right after 1900. If anyone has any information regarding this or please provide us novices on how to start this challenging process to uncover the family history, we would be forever grateful!.
