Spokane has a baseball team, but I don't remember the name of it. I remember that a jeweler in town sponsored it. His name was Oscar Leavitt, I believe. The team bus going over the Cascades crashed at on point, and killed several of the players. That probably was in the late "30s and I am sure you can find articles in the newspapers in Spokane (on microfilm) as I recall "headlines" in the papers. Lefty may have been on that bus.
