    1. [WASPOKAN] hotel in Spokane 1940s?
    2. Harvie and Liz Barker
    3. hi, I am new to this list. I am trying to identify a restaurant in a hotel in Spokane [downtown as I recall] that my parents took me to in the 1940s. I believe it was a rather old hotel? or could be now? or could be gone? We were travelling from BC [entering via Kingsgate border crossing] and thru Coeur d'Alene..to Spokane and I was always promised a meal at this restaurant..[to get my poor parents thru "the desert" with a whining child!]....it had a childrens' menu in the form of a MASK. My childhood memory says it was called "THE OASIS" restaurant but this could be another spelling.?? I would really appreciate any help from those who remember Spokane in those days. thanks Liz of BC..

    3. The "Oasis" was in the Dessert Hotel. I also liked that resturant. Was bn & raised in Spokane, but have been in CA. since 1947.
