When you post, you need to provide whatever information that you have, anything about the person would help. Looking for an Al Gross is pretty much impossible without more information. Was he Albert, Alvin, etc. Where was he born? When was he born, even an approximation would help. Do you know of any siblings of his, his parents, any other family members? If this is a "lost father" search, try to obtain a birth certificate. Check the birth announcements in the local paper, sometimes it shows both parents...but in this case, 1935/1936, there may not have been any postings.
