Osmond died Nov 25, 1972 and was survived by his wife Janet, son Donald F. and daughter Margaret Marilyn Smith. Three sisters Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Coffery, Kathleen Joyner and Edith Taylor according to his obit in the Spokesman Review newspaper. Edith married Clifford Taylor Dec 21, 1928 here in Spokane (copy of certificate online at Washington State Digital Archives (Google can find it)). Nellie is listed as the wife of Fred till 1940 in the city directories, 1941 and later Janet listed as wife.
