Mr. Sires was born in Indiana 63 years ago. When six years old he moved with his parents to Allamakee county, Iowa, and remained there until 1883 when he moved to Spangle, Washington, where he settled on the farm where he has since lived. He spent two and one-half years in the 9th Iowa Calvary during '65-'66. He leaves besides his widow two sons, Charles and Joseph; and one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Anna) Gleason. The funeral will be held Monday. She died 13 Aug 1870. Mary Jane Lusk 15 February 1872 in Union City Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. She died 24 Mar 1882. Jane Agnes Carrigan 02 April 1883 in Caledonia, Houston County, Minnesota.
