The 1900 Census for Stensgar Precinct, Stevens County, WA Brigham Eames, June 1853 in Utah to father born in Wales, mother in England, married 8 years. Farmer Matilda, Sep 1851, born in Canada to both parents born in Canada, mother of 7/6 living. She is employed, but I can't make out the type, "Deform Aker?" Harold P, August 1881, Iowa, born in Iowa to father born in Wales, mother in Canada Macy I, Nov 1894 in Washington to father born in Wales, mother in Canada --It "appears" the enumerator made a mistake on the census form by identify the father of Harold AND Macy was born in Wales; but the form shows Brigham and Matilda were married 8 years. So, perhaps only Harold was born to a father born in Wales. --Now, this census, shows Matilda as having 7 children, but the birth record of 1893 shows that female was the first child born to her. Was the child born in 1893, a sister to Macy, or was there a mistake as to when she was born, month and year? Speculation could guess at either. A family tree owned by "Carenr59", a female in Holmfirth, England, identifies Brigham Cullen Eames was born 9 June 1865 in Logan, Cache County, Utah, and died 10 January 1935, but didn't identify a place. Or, subscribe for a limited time (a 14 day free trial "might" be offered...you HAVE to cancel before the end of the period). Another tree identifies Brigham married Mary Matilda Lowe in Logan, Utah in 1886. She is shown as born in New York in 1855. These facts are different from facts in the Census. The rest of the information is about the same: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/6294301/person/-446237838 In all, there were 10 trees having Brigham, the bulk of the information is identified above. Remember, do NOT assume any facts in someone else's family tree is accurate, it must be verified. --The trees that showed the 1900 census, identified the area as Stensger, it is StensgAr. The 1900 Census for Spokane County, shows a James Eames, born Sep 1867, born in Utah to both parents born in Iowa.
