Sweeney. Does anyone have a fresh idea as to how I can close his history in my family tree? What I know: Two 1930 Census have him in Spokane County. 1) 29 April 1930; Spokane City Jail; age 28; b. Pennsylvania; a soldier at Ft. Wright; parents b. U.S.A. 2) 1 May 1930; Fort Geo. Wright; age 28; b. Pennsylvania; a soldier; parents b. Penn. and Ohio 3) Marriage Record; Spokane County-to Dolores E. Hoyt 17 July 1930; age 28; Soldier at Ft. Wright parents: Charles Sweeney and Catharine Berger both b. Penn. 4)His wife Dolores(Hoyt) Sweeney died 4 March 1944 in the city of Spokane. Her death record states they were separated and he is not mentioned in her death notice. 5) A SWEENEY message board query from 1999, asked for information about this same guy in regard to a child he fathered(not with his wife) 1930/1931 while stationed at Ft. Wright. It appears this child was placed for adoption. I have placed queries on the Sweeney board and the Pennsylvania board. Even tried to contact the person who placed the query about the adopted child. No response about this guy. Haven't been able to find him in the 1910-1920 census.
