The 1920 Census for St Paul, Ramsey Co, MN. enumerated 16 January. Clifton E. (born about February 1929) --This Bernice has potential, right age, right place of birth, the birth place of the father is wrong, but they are often wrong. She was living in Oregon, where your father was born. Violet's obituary: Violet Geraldine Wolf ---A funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in St. Agatha Catholic Church in Portland for Violet Geraldine Wolf, who died Dec. 21 at age 74. Mrs. Wolf was born Violet Geraldine Elgin on Sept. 14, 1927, in Amity. She moved to Portland in 1952 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the church for about 50 years. She responded: I am in fact Violet Elgin's daughter and Bernice Elgin's granddaughter. I'm not sure I remember a brother of Bernice but I do remember Bernice's maiden name being Baker. Anyways, unfortunately, Bernice (Grandma B, as she was known to all of us) passed away many years ago. Not sure what year but I believe I was about 13 years old at the time.
