Foust, born 17 June 1940, died 16 Nov 2007 in Cashmere, Chelan Co. --His Death Certificate was online www.digitalarchives.wa.gov He was John, also known as Jack, born in Bonners Ferry, ID, to John L. Foust and Rita C. Litalien. His wife was Judy. The WA Death Certificate Index: Aaron Mcadams and Gladys Ruth Willis shown as parents of Infant Mcadams, death on 27 Oct 1945 in Spokane, age 18 hours, 24 minutes. An Aaron Beatty Mcadams died 31 Dec 1970 in Pampa, Gray County, Texas, father John T. Mcadams, spouse Pinkney Beatty. --1910 Census showed he was born about 1902 in Alabama. ---The 1930 Census showed he was living in Dallas, TX. Gladys was living with him, also "May Belle(?)" age 2, born in Kansas. Gladys was 21, first married age 18 (1926/1927), she was born in Kansas to father born in Kansas, mother in Illinois --The 1925 Kansas State Census showed Aaron McAdams living in Wichita, Sedgwick County, KS. Living with widowed mother Pinkney, Divorced sister Virgieline 26, sister Carrie 19, brother Orville 24. So, it appears from the records Aaron was Glady's first husband. If Aaron died in Texas, was he visiting family or had he and Gladys separated? I couldn't find enough on a Jack/John Foust for even a possible connection. If he was married to her, it could have been very short. There were other Jack/John Fousts in the WA Death Index 1940-1996, but he "could" have died later, out of state, or wasn't in the death index. Since Mr. Hansen found Gladys in the City Directories as living alone in 1983, she probably wasn't married then. If you have any additional on this Jack Foust, post it, that might help. Otherwise, a volunteer in Spokane could use the city directories and go back in time to see if Gladys was or was not married to one. Go back to the time that she was a McAdams, married to Aaron. The 1945 birth of a child shows Gladys was living in Spokane at that time. That leads to "speculation" she lived there until her death. So, she "probably" married this Jack/John Foust in Spokane. However, there was no waiting period in Idaho, so they could have slipped across the border. Of course, they could have married in any place. Once she is found with Jack in a city directory, hopefully the previous year was a McAdams, that should give an good idea of the year of marriage. If the marriage was short, and they divorced, there could be a record in the Spokane County Superior Court. Court Clerks are mandated to maintain court case archives. Or, she might have never obtained a dissolution decree. There are four volunteers on the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness in Spokane County. Two do public record searches. READ the GUIDELINES first. http://www.raogk.org/washingt4.htm Hopefully, the owner of the family tree will read this thread and help you.
