She found an Elizabeth Correll in the LDS Death Index, fathers name Bier. Elizabeth Correll died Feb 8, 1938 with two children listed: W.G. Correll and Mrs. G.W. Foster. Her husband Valentine Correll died March 21, 1946 and he was survved by two children Walter G. Correll and Mrs. Guy W. Foster. Checking the city directory shows Hattie is the name of the wife of Guy W. Foster. So it looks like Elizabeth Bier married Valentine Correll, but I was not able to find a marriage in the Digital Archives nor in the Kootenai County marriages where a lot of people went for a quick marriage. Not found under Elisabeth, Elizabeth, Liz*, Lis*. I even tried no name, born plus/minus two years of 1867, immigrated plus/minus two years of 1882. The "closest" I came to: The 1900 Census for Waverly, Spokane Co. Henry Wittorf, born April 1862 in Germany, immigrated 1869, farmer/owned, married 9 years, Elsa E, August 1867 in Germany, immigrated 1882, mother of 2/2 living Anna, Oct 1892 Henry, August 1895 --"She" has possibilities, but the children's names are wrong. Ship manifest for the Werra, arriving New York, December 21, 1882, shows all three. Elisabeth was 15. Chances are 355/365 she was born in 1867. IF the manifest was accurate. I tried the Washington State Archives, the Washington Death Certificate Index and others. Not much to go on. Looking for the whereabouts of David H. Cowart in 1920. He was b. 1904 Mississippi and was a companion of my Father, Joe B. Chandler b. 1899 Spokane, WA. My father left Washington abt. 1923 with two friends. This David Cowart along with Bernard Gilbreth shows up on the 1930 census with my father in San Diego CA. I am trying to confirm if David & Bernard were the friends from Spokane, Washington. Dave - _Famsource@aol.com_ (mailto:Famsource@aol.com)

Maggie (Margaret) Cowan was married to Harry P Coleman on 13th of August 1889 in Spokane Falls, Spokane, Washington. Witnesses were listed as Jno (John) Cowan and Sophie Schulze. I can find a Sophie Schulze that is around the Spokane area during that time. Her brothers look to be Walter and Roland. I would love to know if the Schulze family has any information that might help me know more about the Cowans and the Colemans. Harry Coleman worked as a blacksmith, rancher, and trader...also in business with a Jasper N Geesey. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I doubt if you will get the complete transcript, but they should have a summary of the court procedings.
