I don't know what he could teach them, except perhaps to read. They lived some times in Cheney, or Calvert or Spokane. Does anyone know where that might have been possible? That could make some sense of going to a school named Shiloh, because I think that an area called Shiloh or Shiloh Hills is in that vicinity. However, Colbert and Shiloh Hills is located north of Spokane, while Spangle is south.

My grandmother says she went to a country school called Shiloh, "about halfway between Tyler & Sprague". I haven't found it yet. However, she said she lived near "Calvert" Washington which I couldn't find on the map, but found an old map that indeed had Calvert Washington on it. So her information is reliable afterall.
