You might also try the Department of Corrections in Olympia WA because if he was an inmate he could have been transferred from the hospital to prison. There is also a Veteran's Home in Retsil, WA, near Port Orchard in Kitsap County. Their zip code is 98378. I am trying to find when they opened, so will pass that on later.

The indians had just been defeated in this area, and a few settlers were in this area, but mostly there were indians, and missionaries trying to convert the indians. During the Civil War even the Army left the area and the commander George Wright, was put in charge of all the west coast defences. He built a row of forts along the Pacific in case of a Confederate invasion. Charles

Hi, Can someone tell me if there is a Cemetery Book, or a look up volunteer? How about an obituary? I am trying to find the date of death and burial for two of my relatives: Manuel "Jay" Cordz born 2-1887 died in the 1920's and Oliver Cordz born May 1894, told that he died January 1923 Thanks for any help! Does anyone know about the Tosh family that lived in Spokane during the late 1800's and early 1900's? William M. Tosh died 14 Jan 1913 in Spokane. Are any descendents of this family still around this area? Would really like to correspond with them. The obituary for William does not mention a wife. Yet family members say grandma Tosh, Mary J. Wadsworth Tosh, married a Mr. Gaines after grandpa Tosh died. Maybe she married him before grandpa Tosh died. Can anyone shed light on this family? Thanks for any info. Eunice Aldrich
