Author: dallen16 Surnames: Long Cartwright Lockard Dyer Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.washington.counties.spokane/5477/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Looking for an obituary (or interment record or..) for a Laura Cartwright believed to have died in Spokane on 9 April 1913, the wife of an Andrew J Cartwright. According to the marriage index on the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society Rootsweb site, an A J Cartwright married Laura A Long on 11 Dec 1900 in Spokane. http://www.rootsweb.com/~waewgs/BRIDES.txt In the 1910 census for Spokane (Ward 1), Andy Cartwright, age 48, and Laura Cartwright, age 41, married 9 years, are shown living with a 10 month old adopted daughter, Mildred. Also living with them is Andrew's nephew, Adelbert Lockard. Both Andrew's and Laura's place of birth is given as Iowa with their parents born in Indiana. Am trying to determine if this Laura Long Cartwright was the daughter of Isaac Long and Martha Hull born in 1866 in Boone County Iowa -- which is where Andrew Cartwright was born, the son of Robert Newton Cartwright and Sarah Dyer. In the 1920 census, Andrew's wife is "Anna B Cartwright" and they are living with a 10 year old child, Lucille Cartwright. I believe that Anna B is Andrew's second wife and Lucille is Mildred Cartwright from the 1910 census (Mildred Lucille Cartwright?). Are there any online sources for obituaries in Spokane County for this time period? Many thanks in advance. Best regards, ...
