Lord, at Chehalis. Several years ago Mr. Lord conducted Lord’s café on Colby avenue between Wall and Hewitt. Mr. Lord was born in New York. He served in the Civil war and in 1863 was commissioned a major. He saw service with the Fifth and Thirteenth Missouri Cav regiments and with the Fourteenth Illinois cavalry. Mr. Lord participated in the Missouri and Kentucky campaigns and Sheridan’s offense. The former Everett man is survived by his wife and son. He was a thirty-second degree Mason; a live member of Palestine commander an honorary member of Peninsular lodge and a member of Everett chapter No 24 and Everett council No 8 Masonic fraternities. He also held membership in the G.A.R. and in the Loyal Legion of America. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the mortuary of Challacombe & Fickel, the R! ev Edgar M. Rogers officiating. Peninsular lodge will have charge of the services at the grave. Members of Palestine commandery will act as escort. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. William A. Lord requested pension from his service from WA and at his death his wife Nellie J. requested pension.
