He is survived by his wife, Joanna Leese; five sons and one daughter, Otto, T.L. and Robert L. of Everett; August Leese of Hartford; G.F. Leese, Fred Leese and Mrs. Richard Weiss, all of Port Hope, MI. Mr. Leese was a Civil war veteran. He arrived in Everett fourteen years ago and has resided here since that time. He was an old pioneer of Huron county, MI. Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran church, Twenty-sixth and Lombard, at 1:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon, the Rev. M. Engel officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. I find Ferdinand Leese in Huron Co. Rubicon MI in 1880 with son August noted as farmer age 53 but do not find wife or other children with him. I find Annie 1861, Fritz 1867, Gotlieb 1863, Gustan 1865, Zena 1869 living in another household in Rubicon Annie notes all to be her siblings. Says she is housekeeper and they attend school. by 1910 I find Ferdinand with Johanna and Otto, Robert and some grandchildren. Ferdinand served with 1st MI Inf. no company noted and reqested pension from that service in 1907 from MI. Johanna reqested pension in 1914 and not sure why because Ferdinand did not die till 1923?
