He is survived by a son, Lee (Leland) Williamson of Everett, a daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Pennell (Madge) of Seattle and a brother George Williamson of Lake Stevens. Mr. Williamson was born September 17, 1844, at Centerville, OH. At the age of 18, July 16, 1863, he enlisted at Centerville with the 50th Iowa Cavalry and was mustered out of service May 17, 1865, at Davenport, Iowa. He was a member of John Buford post No. 89 G.A.R. The body is at the chapel at Broadway and Wall. Funeral arrangements will be announce later. I find John Williamson in Everett 1910 census with wife Anna living with S.C. White and wife Madge. By 1920 Madge had remarried Frank Pennell and was noted in 1920 Seattle census with him. Brother George Williamson b/1851 OH and wife Jennie and son Sherman was to young for civil war. Even though it says John Williamson served in 50th IA Cav. I find no 50th IA Cav I do find a 50th IA Inf. uncompleted and not assigned. I do find John Williamson with dates of servce same in 8th IA Cav so suspect this is his service. Have not found John Williamson in Pension records.
