Hello, List Folks! The November meeting of the SnoIsle Genealogical Society will be this coming Wednesday, the 3rd of Nov, at the Martha Lake Community Center. The pre-meeting workshop starts at 6 pm; SIGS is resuming "Write Your Own Story" workshops, led by Margaret Robe Summitt. This is also a good opportunity to learn how to write genealogical queries that WORK! The general membership meeting starts at 7, and at 7:30, Mr. Jim Mitchell, author of "Lake Stevens, My Town", will do a presentation on - you guessed it! - Lake Stevens! Mr. Mitchell, a former state legislator, owned Mitchell's Pharmacy in Lake Stevens. You can find the November issue of The Beacon on the SIGS web site at http://rootsweb.com/~wasigs/04novbeacon.htm . The Society is taking a survey re: topics and speakers for future meetings - there's a link to the survey at the bottom of the November Beacon page. Print out the survey, answer the questions and bring the survey with you to the meeting. (If you can't make it to the meeting, you can mail the survey to me. My mailing address is in The Beacon.) Hope to see you Wednesday night! Regards to all, Marge PS - If you need driving instructions to the Martha Lake Community Center, you can find them on the SIGS site at http://rootsweb.com/~wasigs/indexsigs.htm
