Hewitt, 79 years old died Wednesday morning at her home, 1707 California. Mrs. Hewitt was taken seriously ill last Sunday. She was a member of the WCRC and a widow of a Civil war veteran. Surviving her is a son, T.B. Hewitt of 2707 California street. The body is at the parlors of Challacombe & Fickel awaiting funeral arrangements. Burial records show Eliza A. Hewitt b/10/5/1944 and died 11/21/1923 she was residing with her son Truman B. Hewitt in Ev. The only vet I find with Eliza A. Hewitt as pension was a George E. Hewitt in Dakota Territory. Anyone researching this family would like to hear from you.
