Hello, List Folks - Our own Dave Ault (yes, he IS a Big Person at the Seattle Gen Society, BUT he's really a Son of SnoCo) sent me this announcement - The Seattle Genealogical Society presents a two-day seminar: Using Your Computer in Genealogical Research on Saturday, November 6, and Sunday, November 7, at the Sand Point Education Center, 6208 40th Ave. N.E., Seattle. (One block east of the SGS Office and Library) Free Parking. Four general-topic tracks will be featured: "Genealogical Databases," and "Computer Search Techniques" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and "Digital Aids and Publishing" and "Ethnic Background Research by Computer" from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Six lectures will be presented in each track on Saturday and four in each track on Sunday. Participants may attend any lecture in any track to hear knowledgeable and interesting presenters on the varied topics. Mail-in and day-of-event registrations accepted. Registration fees (after Oct. 10th): SGS Member Nonmember Both Days $55 $65 Sat. Only $35 $45 Sun.
