Clow, 99, died Monday morning at his home 2031 State street, following a short illness. The family has resided in this city for 25 years. Mr. Clow as a veteran of the Civil war, having served in the Ninth WI battery. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Clow; two daughters, Mrs. James Newport of New Lisbon, WI, and Mrs. Jake Hummel of Decova, IA; two sons, Hnery Clow of 2815 Walnut street and Avery Clow of 2031 State street; two grandsons, Harry Newport of 2223 Summit ave and charles Newport of 2031 State street. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Challacombe & Fickel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. H.R. Stone will officiate. The members of the G.A.R. with auxiliaries will have part in the service. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Funeral records are filled out by Henry J. Clow and death accured 10/13/1930 states birth date was 1831. Charles W. Clow served in 10th WI Light Artillery from the residence of New Lisbon, WI. Charles requested pension from the state of Oregon and when he passed away in 1930 his wife Mary Clow requested pension from WA. 1920 WA census has Charles W. Clow age 80 b/Canada came US 1847 Mary age 70 b/NY Avery son age 28 b/OR Alta M. age 19 b/WA (daughter in law) 1910 WA census has Henry Charles Clow age 66 b/Canada Mary age 55 b/NY Avery age 20 b/OR
