Snell, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on April 23, 1996. Born the youngest of nine children in Bismark, North Dakota, February 1, 1928. She moved to Washington in 1951 and was a longtime resident of Snohomish. Luella owned and operated Luella's Hair Design for over 20 years before retiring. Through those years she formed many close friendships, including her closest friend, Carrie Kay Williams. We dearly loved and will miss her in our lives. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dan; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Vicki Mylan of Snohomish, Don and Susie Mylan of Wenatchee; and Daniel P. Snell of Bothell; her granddaughter, Sunny; her brothers, Jake and Jerry; and one sister, Charlotte of Northern California; and her special niece, Gloria Christianson. Arrangements are through Purdy and Walters with Dawson. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Home Care/Providence Home Services of Snohomish County, whose professional and compassionate care proved such a blessing to the family.
