CC has been involved with this terrible situation since nearly day one. And it just gets weirder. The records of the funeral home that did many of the burials in the cem. have been "misplaced/lost". The city has spent lots of money on it.... The sad part... the people that should be supporting the cemetery aren't. The seniors have a vested interest... they want a senior center built on it. The historical society... have used actual head stones from the site as part of a mock pioneer cem. (for display purposes) on another section of the old cem. Of course, old highway 2 didn't have to go through the center of the cemetery... but the city fathers at that time... were business men worried about business... Keep up the good work CC....
