I have a birth certificate of his grandfather, Albert Prenatt who was born to Joseph Prenatt and Rose Snoqualmie. We are told that Rose is Jerry Kanim's sister and the daughter a Snoqualmie Indian chief, possibly Pat Kanim? I did find that Jerry Kanim was Pat Kanim's brother John's son. I have found plenty about Joseph Prenatt who settled in Tolt Washington. I know he married a Snoqualmie Indian and Albert, his son was born Jan 13, 1873. I can't find anything about Albert's mother and can't even besure her name is correct. I would appreciate any information you could share with me.

Interesting? Oral history says the same of me, being descended from Pat Kanim, but have not been able to prove it. Maybe I can get started on it again. Pat Kanim is mention in early newspaper accounts of the Indian wars of 1855-6. I'm also Cowlitz and Skagit giving me a total of 3/16 native blood.
