    1. SGS-CIG meeting Saturday 13 August
    2. Marge Reid
    3. Good morning, SnoCo researchers! Sorry this announcement is late... Our Dave Ault *** sent this announcement to me to be forwarded to you... The Seattle Genealogical Society Computer Interest Group meeting on August 13th will be the "RootsMagic Users' Workshop #2." Patricia Summers-Smith and Tim Dooley will lead the workshop. The meeting will be software-specific to the RootsMagic genealogy database program and its users, and will cover a more in-depth discussion and exploration of using different features of the program. It is your meeting and they want it to meet your needs, interests and level of usability. Patricia Summers-Smith would welcome hearing if there are any particular RootsMagic features you would like to see explored in more detail, or if there is any special focus you would like to see at the meeting. Would you like to explore the Publisher feature? Discuss and explore sources in more detail? Using photos and scrapbooks? Learn more about reporting possibilities? Or just concentrate on how to perform data entry? Since it is a software specific meeting aimed at users of the RootsMagic genealogy program, we will set up tables for everyone who has a laptop to work on RootsMagic along with us. Be prepared to bring your laptop. Please also bring a power strip if you have one, so more than one person can use each plug-in. The focus of the meeting will be for RootsMagic users, but anyone is welcome to attend. Please write Patricia Summers-Smith at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>regarding any RootsMagic features you want to discuss and explore or about any usability issues you might be having. She is looking forward to hearing from you. This meeting will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 a.m to Noon in the second floor conference room at NARA. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is located at 6125 Sand Point Way NE in Seattle. Parking is available in the NARA lot. On the Metro Transit #74 and #75 bus lines. Stairs and ramp available to NARA's front door. Stairs and elevator access to the second floor conference room.
