This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VEC.2ACI/3857.1 Message Board Post: I looked in the copies of obituaries from the Everett Herald housed at the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society in Arlington and only found this short one for 1977: "Bessie Scovell, 84, of Stanwood, died February 2. Arrangements to be announced by Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood." I looked at prior and following pages and did not find any more information. That doesn't mean that there wasn't a more complete obituary printed in the Herald, but I just didn't find it in the copies of obituaries available to me. What exactly do you want to find out about Elizabeth Scovell?
Have you tried contacting the GILBERTSON FUNERAL HOME, STANWOOD ? They should have obit Info, and info about the family related to Bessie. Also, Everett Herald archives should be of some help to you re your query. Everett Library Northwest Room is another source for your need. By the way, I see that you subscribe to greatnorthern.net for your E-Mail - my query: Does "greatnorthern.net" have anything to do with the Great Northern Railway ? I need to know because I have ancestry that worked on the Great Northern Railway out of Tacoma, WA and various other States. My SCOTT ancestry might be of record via Great Northern Railway archives of their employees, I'm thinking. If anyone else "out there" has info about how to use Railway Archives to trace ancestry, I'd appreciate learning how to access this source. "They Want to be Found!" my Motto. Cc.
