McDonough, 75, of Everett died September 8, 1990, at his home. Mr. McDonough was born on March 22, 1915, in Seattle, Washington, and attended Broadway High School in Seattle, where he was very active in athletics and graduated in 1934. He was a veteran of World War II, and served with the 75th Infantry Division in Europe. He owned and operated McDonough's Jewelers in Everett, which he started in 1950, and sold the business in 1980. He was a well-known registered jeweler of the American Gem Society and a certified Gemologist of the Gemological Society of America. Tom was a very active golfer and a member of the Everett Golf and Country Club. He was a life member and a past Exulted Ruler in 1953 of the Everett Elks Lodge #479, a member of the Navy League of Everett, and the Trinity Episcopal Church of Everett. He leaves his wife, Noel at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Glenn Berg of Snohomish; also two grandchildren, Gena and Tommy Berg. Memorial Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Purdy and Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Endowment Fund, John Flynn Cancer Center, care of Providence Foundation, Providence Hospital or a favorite charity. Arrangements are entrusted to Purdy and Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home.
