    3. Good morning, List Folks! Several things to bring to your attention: The Family History Center located in Mountlake Terrace (but named "Shoreline FHC") will be closed for two weeks starting this coming Monday, 25 July. The center will reopen on Monday, 8 August. FHC staff will use this time to complete a major overhaul of the microfilm and microfiche storage system; the Holdings Catalog (both print and online) will also be updated. Good news for Canadian researchers! (This from Dave Hunter's "Island Register Newsletter", 22 July 2005) 1911 Census Images now online! http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/1911/index-e.html The Canadian National Archives has opened up their web site for the 1911 census. Though previously they were stating it would be available in August, it is available now. The speed of the mounting the new database shows how determined and prepared the archives were to make available the census - some of the indexing must have been complete prior to the legislation which allowed its posting. It is searchable at present by Province and Sub-district, but not by family name. This is similar to the way other censuses are posted to the National Archives site. Those of us with Canadian roots are doing The Happy Researcher Dance this morning.... Regards to all... Marge
