Goldthorp arrived today from Orondo, WA where he died yesterdy at the age of 80. Mr. Goldthorp was an old resident of Everet and services will be held privately from Jerread's Chapel tomorrow at 3:30 p.m., Rev Mariat officiating, Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery. Mr. goldthorp was a pioneer of Everett, comming here 24 years ago. He is survived by a widow, one daughter and nine sons. He was a soldier of the civil war, enlisting in the First Kansas regiment volunteer infantry Company F. at Fort Leavenworth, June 1861, as a company bugler. Joseph W. Goldthorp requested pension on his civil war service in 1874 and his wife Margaret request penion at his death in 6/1916 from WA.
