Hello, Listers - Marilou Nyblod passed away 10 February, 2005. Snohomish County researchers have lost a good friend. Her obituary was published in the Everett Herald today - Marilou Agnes Cory Nyblod, long time resident of Marysville, Washington, passed away February 10, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. She was born to Claude G. Cory and Adelaide E. Oliver, on November 16, 1934, in Everett, Washington. When Marilou wasn't baking or having family over for dinner, she enjoyed spending her time researching her family history. She had been President of the Skagit Valley Genealogical Society and the Treasurer of the Pilchuck Chapter of DAC. She currently was a member of the Hatters "53" Chapter of the Red Hatters Society. Marilou was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 45 years, Richard W. Nyblod. She is survived by their four children, Kathleen Daniels, William R. (Tami) Nyblod, Teresa (Dave) McCollum, and Amy Nyblod; four grandchildren, Jason (Megan) Olsen, Bryce (Mindy) Nyblod, Joseph Jimicum, III, Jamie Daniels, and Josh Tavenner; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Alex, J.J., IV, Kara and Kylie; and two sisters, Marjory (Midge) Hall of Goldbar, and Nancy (Bob) Muse of Seattle. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 17, at St. Phillips Episcopal Church, 4312 84th Street NE, Marysville.
