I know very well that the "American Red Cross" NEEDS money, and they "always" say ... DO NOT ..send "care packages." BUT ..... this is different ! This is different and the answer is still the same! Please don't try to send packages to New Orleans. They are evacuating the city. Take the money you would spend and send it to the Red Cross. $1, 5, 10. I live in Austin, TX, and we have refugees here. People all over Texas are offering their homes to these folks and to the others who will follow. Even in Austin, if you leave a care package other organizations are picking them up so they can be distributed appropriately. Bettye
