    3. Monroe and surrounding area researchers - I have an old "school writing journal" that is full of old newspaper articles, obits, events, etc; for Monroe, Wash and for family with the Mossford name - I haven't had a chance to read thru it completely, but if anyone is interested I will start posting on this site any of the articles that have Club Names, School information, city and surrounding area info, and Surnames. The time period is aprox 1900 to 1961. Below is an example of what this collection contains: 1 - several reportcards for FRANCES MOSSFORD from NAPA Public Schools 1903 - (and I believe became a school teacher). 2 - the first obit: 1915 JAMES C. MOSSFORD James C. Mossford, for over half a century a resident of Mercer County, died at his home in Jackson township January 19, aged almost 73 years. He was born in Twerton, Cheshire, England, June 16, 1842, and in 1861 came to the United States and Mercer county. Since that time his home has been in this section. In 1866 he married Miss Martha Turner, a daughter of the late Alex Turner, of Worth township, who died last year. Forty years ago he united with the Fairview Methodist Episcopal church and until his death was an active church worker and as a man and citizen was respected by all who knew him. He is survived by one son, V.T. Mossford, of Mercer; and one daughter Mrs. Zella Roberts, who made her home with him, three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held at the home on Friday, conducted by Rev. Thompson of Stoneboro, and interment was made in Union Home cemetery. If there is any interest in more of this info, please let me know thru this site. Pam
