She holds an MA in American Indian Studies (UCLA, 1997) a BA in Elementary Education and Fine Art (1979), and teaching credentials in six states. Prior to her work at the archives, she has been the owner of an American Indian antiques and book store, a professional writer, a professional genealogist, and an elementary school teacher. Her workshops range in topics from beginning and online genealogy to aligning primary documents with state teaching standards.
