Hubbard 1841/NY son of Jesse/1811 & Mary/1814 Hubbard. Siblings Jeremiah 1845/WI, Pyantha 1846/WI, Alfred 1849/WI. Living in Mignon, Washington Co., WI 1850. Simon joined 6th WI If. Co. C during civil war. He removed to MN after the war and married Finette nee unknown. Children were Wm. A 1866/NY, Ella C 1874/MN, DeWitt 1877/MN. The family lived in New Avon, Redwood Co., MN 1880 to 1900 when Simon removed to Snohomish Co., WA where he died in 1925 at Retsil Old Soldiers Home, Kitsap Co.WA and is buried there. below is the obit for Simon as he was a resident in 1910 & 1920 of Everett's Civil War G.A.R. John Bufored Post. Everett Daily Herald 1925 Comrade S.W. Hubbard, 85, for 20 years a resident of Everett and a member of John Buford post. G.A.R. died Tuesday at 11:30 am at the Retsil veterans home where he had lived for four years. Mr Hubbard served in the civil war with Co. C, 6th WI Infantry. He is survived by a daughter Mrs. George E. Sanders of Everett, two sons William A. and DeWitt C. Hubbard of Los Angeles, CA., a sister Mrs.Mary E. Owens; and a niece, Mrs. Cora E. Wildey of Everett.
