I am trying to find some history on Thomas A. and Hermina (Herrgesell) Casey of Sultan Wa. They came from Ludington Mi and were in Tacoma a short while and then moved to Buckley - and were in the Sawmill/ Shingle business . Then they moved to Sultan Wa Thomas had another mill there before selling it and going into the Insurance business in Sultan. Both are buried in Sultan Cemetery. Hermina died in summer of 1945. She was my husband's grandmother. All told they had 8 children. The first 2 died at very young ages of Influenza. The rest were Metta born in Mi. Mildred, Erma, Veronica,-born in Buckley, Raymond, and Robert born in Sultan. Does the new book have any Sultan data in it? Joyc@olypen.com
Snohomish County in the War pertains to those who served here in Snohomish County and over seas during World War I, so it's hard to say what it has about Sultan specifically. It seems to me that Sultan has an historical society. Why don't you google it and see what you find. Also, the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society has more information on the southern part of this county where Sultan is located. We specialize more or less in the northern half.
