Author: EllenSG Surnames: Barber, Potter Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.washington.counties.snohomish/5247/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for Benjamin and Elizabeth BARBER, last recorded in the 1900 Census in Stanwood, Snohomish Co., with son-in-law and daughter Edward and Isabelle POTTER. In 1900, the Barbers were in their 70's; their son-in-law and daughter were in Leavenworth, Chelan Co. by the 1910 census, without the elders. I have checked the Washington State Archives- no death records for them. I haven't found many cemetery records online; any suggestions for finding a death in the Stanwood area between 1910-1920? The WA death index starts in 1906. The deaths prior to that date are at the county level. It's possible that the Stanwood Historical Society can help you. You can find them on the web and contact them. They have done an excellent job of extracting obits from their local papers going way back.
