The potential problem of finding a "full obit" is someone paying for it. Obituaries are not automatic. Many of the senior elderly pass and no obituaries are published. Many of these do not have living family. Of those that do, they feel an obituary is published to let friends or family in the newspaper circulation area know of the passing. If they feel no one would know the person, they elect to not pay the fee. That is just one reason for the newspaper's going into bankruptcy the past few years. (Another is the free Internet advertising). Now, with that said: The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. Contact them at: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx . Now, when you ask, "interested in anyone related to the family"; what do you know about her? The Social Security Death Index shows she was born 5 Jan 1898. Her SSN was issued in Iowa in 1951. Her "last residence" was in Edmonds (But the "last residence" on the SSDI is not always where they actually lived). She is not shown in any of the US Census under the name of Fulton. The 1930 Census has 1,307 women with that first name. When you post an inquiry for a person, identify as much as you can about them. The Date of Birth, place of birth, maiden name is extremely important. If you don't have that, can you identify the parents names, siblings, where they lived, who they married and ANY time line really helps. Repost what you may know about this person and see what can be found. Have you looked yourself in the US Census images or other databases?
