Author: Barbara_Ratcliff Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.washington.counties.snohomish/5281.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The household that was living at 1932 Lombard Avenue, Everett, Snohomish County, Washington in the 1910 Census was: Head: Claud V. Britton (Claud Van Earl Britton per his WWI registration) 22 years old (Feb. 28, 1884 " " ) Married 5 years/1st marriage Born in Arkansas/Father born in Ohio/Mother born in Michigan Shingle weaver in shingle mill Rented house Wife: Sadie F. Britton (Sadie Stuber per Washington Digital Archives) 20 years old Married 5 years/1st marriage 3 children born, 1 living Born in Iowa/Father born in Germany/Mother born in Norway Daughter: Hellen M. Britton 7/12 years old Born in Washington/Father born in Arkansas/Mother born in Iowa (Enumerated April 19, 1910: Ward 5, Page 6A, E.D. 284) The Britton family was renting, they could have moved elsewhere by August 1910. You could contact the Everett Public Library to see if a librarian would check the 1910 and 1911 Everett City Directories to see if the family was listed at the 1932 Lombard Avenue address and if so, especially in the 1911 City Directory, you could be pretty sure someone in the family, or a visitor, had the nickname of "Sib". I have a 1930-1931 Everett City Directory, and it doesn't have a cross reference for street addresses so I am sure the 1910 Directory would not. You could see if the Librarian would check out the "Sib" names in Ron Bestrom's Posting in the 1910 and 1911 Directories to see if any of those names, or other "Sib" names, are in the Directories at the 1932 Lombard Avenue address. Librarians are sometimes willing to do that if you email them. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
